Calderwood Valley is surrounded by the dramatic Illawarra escarpment and is approximately 20km away from the pristine beaches of the Illawarra coast. The Calderwood Valley community will incorporate water sensitive urban design, habitat conservation, drought-proof landscaping, water-capture and reuse schemes and land rehabilitation to improve green corridors.

Calderwood Valley will feature a green and natural network of reserves, walking and bike trails, wetlands and ponds incorporating the region’s history for active exploration.
Calderwood Valley will provide a town centre with up to 20,000sqm of retail as well as a village centre, with up to 5,000sqm of retail.
There are three planned public schools for Calderwood Valley. There will be two primary schools and one high school.There is also one existing private school in the area covering kindergarten to year 12.
